Midwest
Mailing Service was formed by Stan Fredrick, a man with over ten
previous years in the shipping business. Mr. Fredrick first began
serving the Columbia area in 1988 when he purchased The Mail Room,
a franchise storefront located on vandiver drive. At that time,
Midwest Mailing worked primarily in the copying, shipping and bulk
mailing business. The business quickly grew due to Mr.
Fredrick's devotion to his customers, as well as his strong desire to
produce a quality product for his clients, using the most modern techniques
available at a reasonable price, and in an efficient, timely
manner.
Midwest Mailing soon outgrew the storefront location and in 1993 moved into a processing facility on the business loop in Columbia. The copy center was abandoned in favor of concentrating on the mailing and shipping business. New equipment was purchased to extend the range of services offered to the growing list of satisfied clients. In 1995, Cathy Rupard joined the Midwest Mailing team in a management position. Cathy's area of expertise in computer software applications and eleven previous years experience in the mailing industry made her a valuable addition to the MMS staff. Her years of experience in the use of software to produce mailing lists, mail merges and automation of mailing lists to provide optimal postage savings allowed Midwest Mailing to remain a leader in an ever-changing industry. Also in the year 1995, Midwest Mailing Service purchased another local mailing company, Postal Plus which added to the list of already satisfied MMS customers. Midwest Mailing continued to grow over the next few years due to the strong work ethic and desire to provide prompt, quality service. By 1999, MMS had outgrown it's processing facility and moved once again, this time to our current location at 6104 Brown Station Road in Columbia. In the same year a PTI/Lockheed Martin bar-coding machine was purchased to greatly increase the range of services offered to our clients. This state of the art machine allows for sorting of first class mail for optimal postage savings, as well as sorting of automated standard mailings. Midwest Mailing has come a long way in thirteen short years since first purchasing a small copy center, and more expansions are already in planning. This growth was made possible by a staff whose number one goal is customer satisfaction. We look forward to adding your business or organization to our list of satisfied clients.
